Quartu, the Trocadero is reborn: seaside holiday homes in the former ruin.
Renovation work has begun: after the Bussola and the Alba Chiara, the coast will recover another of its "jewels"Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
By now, only the Trocadero was missing. After the redevelopment of the Bussola and the Alba Chiara restaurant at Poetto, along the Quartu coastline, the only thing left under the rubble was the abandoned Margine Rosso restaurant with a sea view, a meeting place for the people of Quartu and beyond, especially in the 1980s and 1990s.
Renovation work has begun (as Paolo Serra's photos show), with the building being converted from a restaurant to a hotel. This destiny is somewhat similar to that of La Bussola, as the former Trocadero will become a sort of vacation home with six mini-apartments overlooking the sea: it will be called "Ex Troc."
The designer is architect Andrea Fadda, who confirmed to L'Unione Sarda: " After years of abandonment, the structure will be restored. We've obtained all the necessary permits, including those from the Region, as it borders state-owned land. Once we've received all the positive feedback, we can begin, and it will take about six or seven months to complete. A radical redevelopment is needed."
