The pipeline breaks—and it's not the first time—and Via dei Salinieri in Cagliari ends up under water.

"The road has turned into a raging river," explains FdI city councilor Stefania Loi in a Facebook post, also publishing a video on social media, "with cars stuck in the mud, the asphalt lifted, and the sidewalks impassable."

"All that was missing was someone with a fishing rod," Loi quips. Adding: "But the most serious aspect is another: how much water are we wasting every time this happens? In the middle of summer, with an ongoing water crisis, it's unacceptable . I've already reported everything and will demand clear answers: when will the problem be definitively resolved? Who will pay for the damage? How much does each breakage cost, in economic and environmental terms? Water is a precious resource. We can't afford to lose it," Loi concludes.

Already last year

, just in August, Abbanoa had to intervene in the same Via dei Salinieri «where – a note explained – a break in a section of grey cast iron with a diameter of 300 millimetres had been identified».
