Local police issued a flurry of fines on Poetto beach during checks to ensure compliance with the smoking ban.

In recent days, officers from the city's police station, both in uniform and plainclothes, fined 11 beachgoers for violating the ban set forth in the Municipal Police and Security Regulations and for leaving cigarette butts on the sand. The fine for this behavior is €150.
In addition to the smoking-related fines, several seizures of goods were also carried out against illegal vendors.
