«The clinic will remain closed until April 7 – we read – due to the resignation of the substitute doctor caused by the repeated rude and aggressive behavior perpetuated on the same from the first day of starting his job». This is what a sign hanging on the shutter of a medical office in Cortoghiana, a hamlet of Carbonia, says.

It all started a few weeks ago: «We knew about friction with some patients in Carbonia – says Vittoriano Meloni, a pensioner from Cortoghiana – and about a month ago the professional needed to take sick leave: in one case the tensions rose to the point that the police were contacted." The replacement did not shy away from the super work that the professional had to face. But the situation would not improve.

And a few days before Easter the limit of exasperation was reached: a heated confrontation with some patients who asked to access the visit, perhaps a few too many words, aggressive attitudes, and the owner's replacement was left with nothing left, the sign posted reveals in the clinic, than to resign.
