Blitz by Digos, this morning in Cagliari , in the home of a young antimilitarist activist accused of having taken part in the demonstration against military bases on May 20, which culminated in front of the headquarters of the Army command in Sardinia: the facade of the building was been targeted with launches of red paint which had caught fire after the lighting of some smoke bombs.

The agents carried out a search on behalf of the prosecutor Emanuele Secci: telephones and PCs were taken away which, according to the indictment, could contain videos or photos of the procession which culminated in the flames in via Torino, in the Marina district. According to some witnesses, the activist had a cell phone that evening with which he would have filmed the scene. The investigators hope to find computer material useful for reconstructing what happened.

The charges against the activist, defended by the lawyer Carlo Monaldi, are heavy: damage followed by fire, with the aggravating circumstance of terrorist association, soiling and unauthorized demonstration. Crimes that, according to the prosecution, would have been committed with an unspecified number of other participants. Some of them, according to what is learned, would have received an invitation to appear.

The demonstration action of last spring has never been claimed by any acronym. At first it was thought of the throwing of a Molotov cocktail: flames and shards of bottles on the ground were considered unequivocal indications. But it seems that the fire started from a smoke bomb, which had reacted with the paint contained in the bottles thrown against the facade.
