"Move Your Soul" gets Cagliari's Lazzaretto dancing.

Imagining a more sustainable and inclusive city, built for people rather than machines, through music and creativity: this is the spirit embodied by "Move Your Soul," a festival conceived and organized by Playcar, which returns to Cagliari's Lazzaretto this Saturday for its third edition. Featuring local and international concerts, social activities, and even exhibitions and workshops, the Sant'Elia neighborhood will be a daylong gathering and sharing space for young people and families.
After Thursday's preview at La Rinascente, with dedicated spaces and a DJ set by Italian-Colombian Santa Maria De La Psicodelia during Shopping Night, "Move Your Soul" is poised to transform the widespread idea of mobility: and the choice of Sant'Elia as a location reflects this very spirit of imagining a different urban space, not only by reducing the environmental impact of travel, but also through community actions and shared culture . The event's date, not coincidentally, is close to the conclusion of the European Sustainable Mobility Week.
The program
The doors to the Lazzaretto will open at 5:00 PM, where those who arrive promptly will find a booth on shared mobility practices and can participate (by reservation) in "Play Local S. Elia," a bike tour exploring the neighborhood's street art and history. At the same time, a workshop for aspiring young DJs, led by Futura Tech Music, will begin, focusing on mixing and sampling. At 6:00 PM, the concerts will begin in the facility's central courtyard: the music will range from the fusion of Neapolitan jazz and funk of the mini-orchestra Parbleu (a project by Andres Balbucea and Andrea De Fazio) to the eclectic techno of Sardinian artist Enrica Falqui, currently in Berlin, to improvisations and rambles between disco and funk by the Cagliari-based collective Space Germs. Finally, a vintage-inspired DJ set by Maxime Catena, founder of the Disco Bestiale label, will close out the event. But the evening's star guest is Afriqua, alias Adam Longman Parker, an American who was soon captivated by the German capital, where he now lives and produces electronic music with strong influences from black music of all generations.
Alongside the music, the indoor venue will host "Walls of Street Art," an exhibition now in its sixth edition, at 6 pm, featuring illustrators Ilaria Melis, Maria Francesca Melis, Claudia Testa, and Elisa Laura Scanu. At 7 pm, the venue will also host "Play the Music," a workshop for young aspiring DJs curated by Futura Tech Music.
