They had been hidden inside a shed and a courtyard on the outskirts of Buddusò: just under four thousand cork planks, almost all marked with red paint and the "CB" logo , with an estimated market value of around 230 thousand euros, were discovered by the Carabinieri of the local station.

The Carabinieri, together with their colleagues from the Alà dei Sardi station, carried out a judicial police operation that led them to seize the cork planks, most of which came from municipal lands in the "Su Campu" region.

The seizure occurred following Carabinieri inspections of an agricultural property in the presence of the landowner. After thorough searches, the land where the cork planks had been stored was located. The landowner was charged at large with aggravated theft.
