"Help, we are taking on water": boat sunk in Stintino, two boys missing

Alarm in the sea of the Gulf of Asinara. Two young divers aboard a small pleasure boat, who were reportedly off the coast of Ezzi Mannu, on the coast of Stintino, sent a distress call to the Porto Torres Coast Guard after taking on water and warning of the risk of drift.

A report reached the operations center of the Port Authority with confused indications on the identification of the exact area in which they were.

Search operations for the missing were immediately launched using a patrol boat and a helicopter: the boat was identified, sunk, but no trace of the boys.
