They put online the announcement of a "ghost" holiday home for rent in Cala d'Ambra, San Teodoro, and once collected the money disappears into thin air.

A 48-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, both from Sant'Antimo (Naples), were referred to the public prosecutor's office by the carabinieri of the San Gavino Monreale station.

The investigation began with a complaint from a local 22-year-old student.

The girl responded to the announcement and the two scammers, with tricks and deceptions, deceived her by pushing her to make two transfers of 260 and 60 euros to get the house for rent.

Once the money was collected, the 48-year-old went missing. The investigations allowed the military to trace the two scammers.
