Those in love with Murtas return to that beach and get married after 18 years. This happened to a couple from the Czech Republic, who landed in Sardinia a few days ago to fulfill their dream of a wedding on the most beautiful beach in Villaputzu.

Mayor Pierpaolo Piu married them yesterday (Tuesday, September 22): "It's a beautiful story," Piu emphasized, "for them, but also for Villaputzu. Of all the places they could have chosen, they chose ours. This demonstrates how a beach like Murtas can resonate with people and become a part of their lives."

Piu wished the newlyweds the very best: "Eighteen years ago," he added, "they spent their holidays here with us, and today the same place is their destination. But I'm sure they'll come back again."

Numerous weddings have been celebrated on Murtas in recent years, one of the wildest and most evocative beaches in southeastern Sardinia. However, the beach is also subject to military restrictions because it falls within the Salto di Quirra Joint Range. For this very reason, access is permitted for only four months of the year, from June 1st to September 30th. Just in time for the final "I dos" (except for requests made in this last week) of 2026.
