The transfer of the Immunology and Antiviral Therapy Center to San Giovanni di Dio in Cagliari dates back to early April. Since then, the distribution of antiretroviral drugs has become an "obstacle race", with patients having to travel to the Policlinico di Monserrato to get the medicine. "8 kilometers of distance to travel becomes a problem especially for those who are not from Cagliari", explained Brunella Mocci, president of Lila Cagliari, who today - with a delegation of the association - met Vincenzo Serra, extraordinary commissioner of the Cagliari University Hospital.

The Lila delegation explained to the commissioner the problems related to the distribution of drugs . The manager promised to verify the situation and find a solution that would allow patients to avoid moving from one hospital to another . "The meeting was positive ," explains Serra, "and shows that thanks to discussion, problems can be addressed more easily. Patient associations are very important and dialogue is certainly the best tool for finding agreements and solutions."

According to Mocci, "the meeting was positive and of mutual listening . The commissioner was available, in a long meeting, to evaluate together the possible alternatives and this makes us very happy. We confidently await positive developments with respect to our request".
