Doctor Antonietta Avignone passed away suddenly, last October 30th , leaving a void for the almost thousand children of Quartucciu whom she cared for. For fifteen days his place remained vacant, waiting for someone to take up his legacy.

Now the young patients have a new pediatrician: Dr. Alessandra Cirina , 35 years old. «Today we welcomed into our community the new pediatrician who will replace the late doctor Antonietta », writes the mayor Pietro Pisu , «from whom she will inherit not only the great love that the little patients and parents had towards her, but will continue to operate in his historic clinic."

To ensure continuity in assistance, it was necessary to accelerate in the last few days: «It was not easy», continues the mayor, «to find a solution so quickly , but the synergistic and collaborative work between the municipal administration, the Region and the ASL has borne fruit and above all an urgent response to our families."

Then the mayor's wish: «In the next few days the very young doctor Alessandra Cirina will be at the complete disposal of our children and will take care of their health. Welcome and good work doctor Alessandra!
