It is now certain.

By next week the premises of the Serd di Quartu in via Cavour will close their doors, it is said provisionally, and the service will be transferred to Cagliari in via Dei Valenzani . The decision, announced in recent days by a meager communication from the ASL, has unleashed an uproar as was foreseeable.

On the one hand, the Uil announces its intention to bring the matter to the Prefecture, on the other, the many patients are on a war footing: many, disabled and suffering from various pathologies, do not have the possibility of reaching Cagliari, while others, on the other hand, cannot do so because banned for having committed crimes and that before being able to go to the Serd they would have to face a long process.

The transfer was essential due to the critical conditions of the premises in via Cavour, but no one expected the service to be moved outside Quartu, depriving the city and all nearby centers of its services since it also includes Trexenta, Parteolla, Sarrabus Gerrei and Sarcidano.

"The union's objective is to bring the issue to the attention of the Prefect - explains Uil regional secretary Guido Sarritzu - involving the mayor Graziano Milia and the director general of the ASL Marcello Tidore".
