They had a close call, but the girl and the baby she is carrying will be fine after the bad accident that occurred last night in Genna 'e Crexia, in the Jerzu countryside.
The twenty-five-year-old from Tortolì, pregnant, is hospitalized in the Gynecology and Obstetrics department of the Policlinico di Monserrato: she suffered some trauma after the impact, but the head wound is less worrying than it seemed at first. And, above all, the baby - the girl is in her seventh month - has not suffered any consequences and the pregnancy can continue peacefully.
The accident occurred yesterday evening. The man driving, the young woman's companion, lost control of the car and, after tearing off several meters of guardrail, the vehicle ended up off the road in a field below.
The twenty-five-year-old was thrown out of the cockpit and was rescued by the Areus helicopter, which took her to Duilio Casula. Her companion was unharmed.
