69 driving licences revoked in one month, for a total of 1,976 points deducted.

This is the result of the Cagliari Traffic Police 's activities in October, which saw a further strengthening of surveillance services throughout the province, with particular attention to the All Saints' Day weekend.

The patrols concentrated their action on the main extra-urban arteries, those with the highest traffic flows: the SS 131 Carlo Felice, the SS 125 VAR, the SS 130, the SS 554 and the SS 195.

Specifically, 1,810 vehicles and 2,531 people were checked in October. In addition to the 69 licenses revoked, 30 people were reported for driving under the influence of alcohol . Of these, 3 tested positive with blood alcohol levels three times over the legal limit.

The speed data is also significant: 162 violations of the speed limit were detected. An equal number of 162 offenders were fined for not having insurance coverage, a phenomenon that the Highway Police has specifically addressed.

Among the most significant interventions was the targeted operation on October 11th, specifically designed to combat the so-called "Saturday night massacres." On that occasion , 12 licenses were revoked. Among the drivers stopped was a young woman, caught driving at 162 km/h. Subsequent tests revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.51 g/l, well above the legal limit.
