The roundabout at the junction for Bancali, the stretch of road on the border between Porto Torres and Sassari, has been officially opened .

The work was completed at the intersection of the former state road 131 and the road to Bancali, one of the most dangerous at-grade intersections, connecting the centers of Sassari to Porto Torres and provincial road 56 towards Platamona.

A solution long-awaited by motorists at one of the critical points of the high-traffic artery. After approval from the municipalities of Sassari and Porto Torres, the project, prepared by the provincial administration, was launched thanks to the availability of funds, approximately €600,000, needed to regulate traffic and secure the connection with the main road to Sassari.

A highly critical stretch that has seen numerous serious accidents, some fatal, due to the high speed and lack of right of way when exiting the provincial road to join the former 131.
