Flames erupted inside an industrial warehouse on Via Pigafetta, in the Porto Torres industrial area. The fire was reportedly started during the night between Monday and Tuesday, in the rear section of the building owned by the owner of a well-known supermarket in the city. Inside, the warehouse contained long-stored materials of various types, including equipment and old furniture, items containing plastic and paper, some of which were destroyed.

Smoke also engulfed the adjacent feed storage facility, fortunately without serious damage. The fire blackened the warehouse's interior walls, window, and front door, but thanks to the timely intervention of the Porto Torres firefighters, the blaze was quickly extinguished, limiting damage to the material.

Carabinieri from the Porto Torres branch are also on site, investigating the cause, which is likely arson. A fire had previously struck another warehouse on the same street, but that fire was accidental.
