Serious accident along provincial road 34, in the industrial area of Porto Torres.
A 45-year-old truck driver from Porto Torres was seriously injured while trying to fix one of the tires from a truck trailer, inside the company warehouse.
For reasons still being investigated, the tire of the wheel suddenly exploded, hitting the worker full in the face .
The man, immediately rescued, was transferred to the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital aboard the 118 ambulance, in red code. Although he suffered serious injuries, the 45-year-old is not in danger of life.
On site the Carabinieri of the Porto Torres company's radiomobile, and the Spresal staff to verify the safety conditions of the work.
