Pollution in Piscinas? In line with historical data.

«The first results of the analysis of the water flowing in the Piscinas river are reassuring: the concentration of heavy metals is lower than the average data recorded in the past». This was communicated by the general director of Arpas, Alessandro Sanna, who postpones, due to weather conditions, "the monitoring activity of marine waters to the beginning of next week". Here too, however, «from a first sample taken immediately by the Port Authority of Oristano, analyzed at the Agency's laboratories, it appears that the parameters analyzed comply with the Environmental Quality Standards (SQA) of the law, in line with the historical data from environmental monitoring ".

The data remains high due to the mining activity that began in 1848, which continued for over a century in an area that has never been reclaimed. And to exclude any risk in the entire area affected by the flooding of the rivers, Irvi and Piscinas, colored red due to the presence of heavy metals coming from the disused mines of Montevecchio, Arpas' verification and assessment operations continue through further sampling on the matrices environmental.
