Pimentel, attempted supermarket robbery: 25-year-old from Selegas denounced
The young man was unmasked thanks to the testimonies of some present and the video surveillance images
A 25-year-old from Selegas , unemployed and with a previous history, was reported on the loose yesterday in Samatzai by the Carabinieri for attempted robbery.
The man was identified as the perpetrator of the robbery attempt made on February 21 at the Nonna Isa supermarket in Pimentel .
That day, just before 8pm, a man had entered the shop, ordering the manager to hand over the proceeds and showing, through his jacket, the butt of a presumably toy gun.
At the owner's courageous refusal, the stranger, misrepresented with an ffp2 mask, had gone away in a small car, disappearing into the surrounding streets.
The recognition took place thanks to the testimonies of some people present, who recognized some details of the robber, and thanks to the video surveillance images.
