“Stars” also in the province of Oristano. And this time it is not about Sartiglia .
94 Poste Italiane employees will be awarded the “Stella al Merito del Lavoro” honor by the Ministry of Labor , including Michelina Dessì , head of the Distribution Center on Via Liguria in Oristano, Antonella Piras , regional coordinator of personnel administration for Sardinia, and Giacomo Incani , director of the Mogoro post office.
This is the sixteenth consecutive year that the National Commission established for the occasion has decided to award the title of Maestro del Lavoro to the employees of the Poste Italiane Group. While waiting for the formal award by the Prefecture of Cagliari for merits of "expertise, industriousness and good moral conduct" , scheduled for next Thursday, May 1st, the three Sardinian employees have received a certificate of esteem and recognition from the company .
"I am honored to receive this recognition," comments the head of the Oristano Center. "Delivery is an extraordinary world where human relationships count, everyday life made of small gestures, attentions and smiles. Just a "Good morning" from the postman is enough to brighten the dark day of so many lonely people who never receive visitors ."
"It is a great honor to receive this prestigious recognition," says the regional coordinator of personnel administration. "I thank Poste Italiane for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to do the work I wanted to do, my family and all the colleagues I have had the opportunity to meet in many years of working activity: I have had the opportunity to learn something from each of them."
"I was pleasantly surprised and happy when I received the news that I had been chosen as a candidate for the Star of Merit - explains the director of the Mogoro post office - I would like to thank my managers and the entire Company. It was now the distant 1984, when, at the age of twenty-two, I began my first day of work at the Post Office and Telegraph, as Poste Italiane was called at the time . 41 years have passed since that day, but the enthusiasm for the job I had then has never waned".
