Moments of fear in the early afternoon, along the SS 295 that connects Belvì to the junction for Monte Corte , when, for reasons yet to be ascertained, two small cars collided near a bend in the “Canale e Figu” area.

A Ford Fiesta and a Citroen C3 were involved, with front-end damage.

Rescue was provided immediately to the occupants of the two vehicles, two workers engaged in some construction sites in the area and a young healthcare assistant from Aritzo , returning home after a morning's work in a local retirement home.

One of the two technicians had to be airlifted to San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro following injuries to his sternum and neck . The other driver was uninjured, but the woman sustained scratches from the deployment of the airbags and was transferred to San Camillo Hospital in Sorgono for further evaluation.

Emergency medical services (118), firefighters from the Sorgono detachment, and the Carabinieri are on site to carry out the necessary investigations and manage traffic, which is proceeding without interruption.
