Beach umbrellas and sun loungers ready to be positioned at the ideal distance in an illegal state-owned maritime area. This happened in Alghero, where Coast Guard officers discovered the unauthorized occupation of an area near Maria Pia beach, an area exceeding 100 square meters, where sun loungers and umbrellas had been placed illegally, effectively depriving the space of public use.
Once the investigation was completed, the military personnel from the Alghero Maritime District Office seized the property and restored the area to its original state, thus restoring its availability to bathers and the general public.
This activity is part of a broader surveillance program implemented by the Coast Guard along the Alghero coastline during peak tourist season. The goal is to ensure compliance with the rules governing beach use and prevent unauthorized installations or equipment from taking over designated public spaces.
