The section of state road 131 "Carlo Felice", between km 23.885 and km 32.412 between Nuraminis (including the hamlet of Villagreca), Monastir and Serrenti , reopened to traffic this morning .

"Sardinia's main artery is becoming increasingly safe and modern," said Public Works Councilor Antonio Piu. "The improved service and safety conditions and the elimination of the at-grade intersections at Villagreca and Samatzai are another piece of the overall plan for the redevelopment of the SS 131. Construction sites create disruption, but they are necessary to provide Sardinians with safe roads that keep pace with traffic flows."

The Anas works included the construction of two junctions, one connecting with the Nuraminis-Serramanna provincial road and one connecting with the southern part of the municipality of Nuraminis . Both represent the adaptation of the existing junctions to current regulatory standards.

The works also include three bridges to cross the Rio Suesus and two overpasses, intended to guarantee the continuity of the provincial road to Serramanna and the municipal road in the Nuracesus area .

"The completion of this project," stated Anas CEO Claudio Andrea Gemme, "represents a historic milestone for Sardinia and confirms Anas' commitment to constantly improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of its network on the island . We are delivering a new, more modern "Carlo Felice" to the region, capable of meeting the mobility needs of citizens, businesses, and economic operators, promoting faster and safer connections and contributing to the development of the regions it crosses."

The works were carried out by entirely reusing the earth from the excavations, and a significant portion of the existing road surface was recovered and reused to create the new road surface, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

"Over the summer months, we inaugurated key strategic arteries," Piu emphasizes, "state road 195, including the restoration of the coastal section affected by collapses following last winter's extraordinary weather events; state road 131 "Dcn" following the redevelopment of the section between Nuoro and Olbia; the Monte Pino provincial road, closed for 13 years and now reconnecting Tempio and Olbia; and today the Nuraminis section of state road 131. These reopenings demonstrate the seriousness with which we are approaching each individual project, the effectiveness of our method of following schedules, and our loyal and fruitful collaboration with Anas."
