It was hard not to notice Matteo Renzi's presence yesterday at the Cala di Volpe Gala Night. The former Prime Minister was among the guests at the exclusive event, which featured a live performance by Katy Perry, who was accompanied to Sardinia for the occasion by her partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
And it was precisely with this famous couple that Renzi stood out during the evening, as shown by the photos posted today on Instagram by the leader of Italia Viva. They portray him with his wife Agnese Landini, his children Ester and Francesco , and Katy Perry and Trudeau.
"It was really nice to meet Justin Trudeau again yesterday and talk with him about the upcoming challenges facing progressives across the planet. And then Katy Perry's concert, which we had already seen in Florence with Agnese, was super fun . I never imagined I'd see my daughter sing with her , and thank goodness we men avoided joining in. Krakens don't Roar," commented the former mayor of Florence on social media. Selfies aside, during the magical night at Cala di Volpe, he cordially chatted with Trudeau before being joined by Katy Perry, along with the rest of the audience, in a rendition of "Roar" offstage.
Among the VIPs poolside were designer Domenico Dolce, who celebrated his 68th birthday at midnight, and showgirl Melissa Satta, currently on vacation in Costa Smeralda.
