Not just staff shortages and interminable waits: now also flooding. Yesterday another day of inconvenience at the Oristano emergency room, but this time the problems are of a structural nature.

The violent storm that hit the capital just before 1pm did not spare the waiting room of the emergency department of the San Martino hospital. The water filtered through two of the entrance doors and invaded the sanitary room.

To try to limit the damage, sheets and sheets were spread on the floor, while the waiting patients were temporarily transferred to another room.

From the local health authority they reassure: «The activities of the emergency room were not interrupted and the situation was immediately restored».
