It was the sniffing of drug sniffer dogs Betty and Daff that led to the discovery of a load of three kilos of cocaine contained in a bag inside a car that had just landed at the Isola Bianca port in Olbia . Mother and daughter, aged 43 and 23, Albanians but resident in Umbria, ended up in handcuffs.

On March 3, the two women were in a small car that had just left the garage of the ship that had arrived from Civitavecchia. The soldiers of the Olbia Guardia di Finanza group carried out a check and immediately saw them very nervous.

The dogs took care of the rest, who reported a bag placed on the floor in front of the passenger seat. Inside was the drug which, according to an estimate by the Fiamme Gialle, would have fetched over half a million euros on the market.

Mother and daughter were arrested on drug trafficking charges and transferred to the Bancali prison in Sassari.
