Fatal accident tonight on Tempio-Aglientu: 68-year-old retired doctor Marzio Arras lost his life.

According to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri of Tempio , Arras was traveling towards the coast aboard his motorcycle, a Ducati Scrambler, when he lost control and crashed into a guardrail.

The rescue intervention was useless: the surgeon, who worked for a long time at the Paolo Dettori hospital in the Gallura town, was already dead when they arrived and any resuscitation attempt proved ineffective.

The dynamics are not clear. It is not excluded that the bike has lost grip due to the presence of sand on the asphalt. But high speed may have weighed too.
