The Minister of Civil Protection is in Cagliari: "Priorities, projects, and funding for progress." This is the operational strategy that Nello Musumeci explained from the Lido, the Poetto beach resort where the government representative began his visit to the areas of Sardinia affected by the storm.

The second stop on this day of inspections was on State Road 195, which remained closed for several days during and after the passage of Cyclone Harry. "We must ensure reconstruction, but that doesn't mean everything can be done where it was. A culture of prevention comes first."

Musumeci reaffirmed his full powers to Alessandra Todde, who welcomed the minister along with Environment Councilor Rosanna Laconi and Cagliari Mayor Massimo Zedda. Also present were Sardinia's fire chief Nicola Micele, Prefect Paola Dessì, and Sardinian Civil Protection Director Mauro Merella.

Meanwhile, the Region is "activating a control room to manage the emergency," the governor said. Laconi's offices, meanwhile, are working on "technical coordination to assess the cyclone's impact on the environment, and the coasts in particular."

The minister's visit then continued to Capoterra, along the Maddalena Spiaggia coastline . The minister met with Mayor Beniamino Garau , who explained what happened in the municipality during the passage of Cyclone Harry.
Capoterra was one of the towns hardest hit by the storm surges, "with many families, but also some vulnerable individuals, evacuated as a precaution." Musumeci, accompanied by the delegation that welcomed him at the Lido di Cagliari, reached the beach, still completely flooded. Before leaving Capoterra, heading for Elmas Airport and flying back to Rome, he also spoke with a representative of the residents. Musumeci praised the work of the Sardinian Civil Protection, from the COC (municipal emergency coordination committees) to the volunteers.
