A sixty-eight-year-old man from Oristano died this afternoon in the sea near Is Arenas. According to initial reports, the man was struck by a sudden illness while in the water.

The 118 emergency operations center also dispatched a helicopter, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do. Firefighters and Carabinieri were also on the scene.
