Tragedy at Isola Rossa: Man crashes into fence and dies

Another road fatality in Gallura. This afternoon, a 40-year-old man died following an accident in Isola Rossa, a hamlet of Trinità d'Agultu-Vignola.

The man, driving his car, crashed into the Acquafan fence around 5 p.m.

Emergency medical personnel from 118 responded to the scene of the accident, using an ambulance and the Areus Sardegna air ambulance. The doctor and paramedic lowered themselves with a winch, but despite immediate intervention and CPR, there was nothing that could be done for the 40-year-old.

The Carabinieri were also on site to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident.
