"The news tells us about war, migrants who die a few meters from our coasts, desperate parents: but Easter teaches us that there can be life and hope even within a context of death ".

Thus the archbishop of Cagliari Giuseppe Baturi , in his message to the ecclesial community on the occasion of Easter.

«The sequence of Easter day - adds the archbishop - speaks of a prodigious duel between life and death. By rising Christ offers us life, the eternal one, the full one, the happy one which is the true object of our desire, what we were born for, what we crave".

«This - concludes Baturi, addressing his best wishes to the faithful - is the message of Easter: there is life even within the context of death, a life that justifies our hope. There is a life that justifies a new beginning in the personal journey and to recover the energies to build a more just world, a more adequate world ».
