Mayor Tomaso Locci's third term has begun in Monserrato. The new president of the city council is Ignazio Tidu, taking over from Piergiorgio Massidda. The vice presidents of the assembly are Bernadette Ibba for the majority and Franca Cicotto for the opposition. A council made up of 6 councilors and equally divided between men and women. The names are as follows

  • Raffaele Nonnoi (public works, sustainable mobility, renewable energy, technological innovation, heritage and technological services)
  • Saverio De Roma (environment, greenery, street furniture, cemetery services, urban hygiene and safety). For now De Roma is also deputy mayor, then this role will undergo rotation between the various councillors
  • Emanuela Stara (culture, agricultural, wine-growing and popular traditions, entertainment, Sardinian language, relations with the university, equal opportunities and tourism)
  • Piergiorgio Massidda (urban planning, private construction, productive activities and suape)
  • Claudia Lerz (social and family policies, employment policies, health, quality of life, housing policies and Europe Office)
  • Fabiana Boscu (public education, youth policies, sport and commerce). The mayor remains responsible for the budget and personnel.

The new entries are De Roma and Tidu. For others, however, it is a reconfirmation. Next week the councilors who will take over from those elected to the council will be appointed.
