Night of fear in the city center, where a 41-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri for mistreatment in the family, personal injury and aggravated threat.

The military intervened shortly after midnight following a call for help to 112: on the other end of the line, the suspect's terrified mother told the operator that her son was attacking his partner and threatening them both with a weapon.

When the Carabinieri of Monserrato arrived on the scene, they found the man in a clearly agitated state, holding a compressed air rifle, pointing it at the two women. The soldiers managed to immobilize and disarm him, thus preventing the situation from degenerating.

The main victim of the attack, a woman of about 30 years old, suffered minor bruises but chose not to go to the hospital . The man, however, injured his foot during the fight: taken to the Policlinico of Monserrato, he was treated and released with a prognosis of a few days. Immediately after, the arrest was made and the rifle was seized.

The 41-year-old, resident in Sestu and already known to the police, was transferred to the prison of Uta, where he remains awaiting the hearing to validate the arrest, ordered by the Judicial Authority.
