The four men arrested as part of an operation coordinated by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, which culminated a few months ago with the discovery of a cannabis plantation in the countryside of Santa Giusta, in Loiri, will be questioned shortly.

The individuals involved in the investigation are Tommaso Quaglioni, from Loiri; Mario Cossellu and Giuseppe Mulas, from Orgosolo; and Daniele Delogu from Onanì. According to charges filed by Tempio Prosecutor Alessandro Bosco, the four, in various capacities, cared for approximately 2,500 trees in the Santa Giusta countryside. According to the investigation, Tommaso Quaglioni is the owner of the land on which the Carabinieri found, in addition to the trees, a perfectly functioning irrigation system.

No comment has yet been made by defense attorneys Luigi Conti, Margherita Baragliu, and Rinaldo Lai. Another person, represented by criminal lawyer Antonello Desini, has been cleared. The defense has already identified the temporal issue as a key factor for a possible appeal. The precautionary measures were executed (with the transfer to prison) many months after the plantation was discovered. This raises a number of questions regarding the basis of the Tempio Preliminary Investigating Judge's decision.
