Migrants, non-stop landings: new arrivals in Sulcis

The landings of migrants on the coasts of southern Sardinia do not subside.

After the 15 intercepted yesterday by the Financial Police near Coequaddus and the five landed in the Porto Pino area, during the night the Naval Operations Section of the Guardia di Finanza of Sant'Antioco intercepted two rubber boats headed for the Sulcis coasts with on board 40 migrants from Tunisia. The group was led to the commercial port of Sant'Antioco where they were later put on a bus and escorted by the carabinieri to the first reception center in Monastir.

Other migrants arrived in the Villasimius area and further disembarkations in the next few hours are not excluded.
