The outbreak that broke out among the 170 pilgrims who returned on October 27 from a pilgrimage to Medjugorje is growing more and more.

The infected people are now one hundred, among these five are hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Aou di Sassari. The last two patients arrived this morning.

The patients, both those currently in hospital and those discharged after a few days in the infectious diseases ward, are almost all unvaccinated. Among them there is also a doctor, convinced no vax.

Two are in serious condition, they breathe thanks to the “CPAP” helmet.

Of the one hundred positives, 69 are resident in Gallura, 31 in Sassari. And hundreds of people, all close contacts, are now in solitary confinement. After the return of the pilgrims, in fact, there was the weekend of October 31st with the feast of All Saints which multiplied the contacts.

The situation is constantly evolving and the number of infected people is inexorably destined to grow.

Among the infected, according to what is learned, many returned with the charter flight of the organized trip, 12 with other scheduled flights. And several people have contracted the virus from relatives who returned home after the trip to Medjugorje.
