A marijuana forest was discovered in recent days by the Nuoro Financial Police Group in the countryside between Orani and Orotelli.

The military seized 2,112 plants, for a total weight of approximately 7,100 kilos (over seven tons, therefore), and a further 500 kilos of inflorescences. The complaint before the Public Prosecutor's Office of Nuoro was made against an agricultural entrepreneur who, according to the Fiamme Gialle, used the cultivation of sativa hemp, permitted by law, as a cover.

«The intensification of controls by the military of the provincial command of Nuoro, which in recent months has led to several seizures of large quantities of hemp», explain the Fiamme Gialle, «is aimed at avoiding that part of the harvest, coming from light hemp plantations, supposedly legal, are destined for the black market
narcotic substances".
