The start of work to double the capacity of the CPR is imminent. The mayor of Macomer relaunches and as a counterpart, in addition to the return of the Guardia di Finanza, he now also requests the reopening of the justice of the peace office , closed last spring, managed by the Union of Municipalities of Marghine, which had to surrender faced with the refusal of the Court of Auditors to be able to hire staff.

All the responsibilities, in particular the practices related to the CPR, have returned to the Oristano office since last April.

«The office of the Justice of the Peace - says the mayor Riccardo Uda - was closed for a trifle. Now there is a need for a territory and above all for the presence of the CPR, that the Macomer office be reopened. We ask for this as a counterpart to the CPR, based on the agreements signed with the Ministry of the Interior in 2018 . That memorandum of understanding provided for the strengthening of the structures of the police, police and carabinieri, but also the reopening of the financial police department. Disregarded agreements."

The topic was at the center of a bitter debate in the last city council, with the former mayor, Antonio Succu, who, among other things, recalled that the agreements signed in 2018 for the CPR expired in 2021. However, it has not expired for the mayor Riccardo Uda.

«The truth is that most of those agreements have been disregarded. Now that we are proceeding with the doubling of the structure, with 32 more guests, compared to the 50 present for about three years now, we strongly ask for the reopening of the financial police department and the justice of the peace office".

An office that was closed for the first time in 2012 by ministerial decree and then reopened thanks to the hard work of the Marghine Municipalities. An important service, used above all for processing CPR procedures.
