Drastic restrictive measures in Capoterra after the release of the latest data on Covid infections, which highlighted "a high incidence rate of positive cases". Mayor Beniamino Garau has therefore signed an ordinance which provides:

- for the period from 17/12 to 22/12 (inclusive) the suspension of teaching activities in the presence of all schools of all levels.

- for the period from 17/12 to 30/12, the suspension of funeral processions; the closure of markets and open-air markets where the gathering of the population is foreseeable; the suspension of sporting and cultural events; the closure of libraries; the closure of the social gathering center (playroom and senior citizens center); the suspension of the catechism; the suspension of non-competitive team and contact sports activities; the suspension of social activities such as a scout group; the closure of all the playrooms in the municipal area; the ban on the use of games in the areas equipped for play in municipal parks.

The suspension of the Christmas events organized by the Municipal Administration has also been ordered.

The mayor also orders the use of respiratory protection devices even outdoors and recommends the observance of interpersonal distancing.
