Her name was Gaia Costa, she was 24 years old and from Tempio Pausania, the girl who was hit and killed this morning by an SUV in via Aga Khan, formerly via Porto Vecchio, in Porto Cervo .

The vehicle was driven by a German tourist with her daughter on board: the twenty-four-year-old was crossing the pedestrian crossing when she was mowed down. The woman behind the wheel, according to witnesses, did not notice anything: she continued driving until a passerby stopped her by violently banging his fists on her window.

"But did you see what you did?" he allegedly shouted at her. When the tourist understood, she lost consciousness.

On the asphalt was the body of the twenty-four year old: when the rescuers arrived her heart was no longer beating. Every attempt at resuscitation proved dramatically useless.

Gaia Costa was in Porto Cervo to work: she was a babysitter.

The investigations into the terrible accident were carried out by the Carabinieri of Porto Cervo.
