Luca Vitalino Palmas: he is the lifeguard who yesterday afternoon saved the life of a thirty-five year old who risked dying in the waters of Poetto , after feeling ill in the water at the fourth stop.

The young man realized that something was wrong, left his post at the Jinny Beach establishment, brought the swimmer back to shore and performed initial resuscitation until an ambulance arrived and transferred the patient to the hospital, safe and sound.

Today Palmas received recognition: at the request of city councilor Corrado Sorrentino, a historic swimmer, the lifeguard in the city council received recognition from the mayor of Cagliari Massimo Zedda and the president of the Palazzo Bacaredda chamber, Marco Benucci. After the delivery of a reproduction of the Cagliari skyline, everyone present applauded.
