Whoever doused the establishment in the heart of Caletta di Siniscola with gasoline around 1:30 a.m. wanted to destroy the business of Marco Fadda, a 40-year-old local entrepreneur and soccer coach. He is a well-respected and well-liked person, as evidenced by the huge outpouring of friends and acquaintances. Countless people have been lending him a hand since the early hours of the morning.

The timely intervention of the firefighters helped to contain the damage.

"We will reopen the Malibu very soon," assures Marco Fadda's mother.

Meanwhile, while numerous friends are busy cleaning the blackened exterior walls and tidying up, a WhatsApp campaign has already begun. A fundraiser has quickly reached 420 people. And a clear goal is in place: to reopen the restaurant in time for the weekend, the feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
