Patrizia Dessì, the young mother of Irgoli, victim of a brutal beating in the night between Saturday and Sunday, is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis in the intensive care unit of the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro. Her conditions are critical, the woman struggles between life and death.

The violent attack took place in the victim's home in the center of the town. Responsible Bastiano Secci, 56-year-old local butcher and ex-partner of the victim, already sentenced to 16 years for the murder of Maria Antonietta Masala , killed with a hammer and found in the basement of an Orosei market with her head smashed. He was released from prison three years ago.

The judicial position of the man is linked to the state of health of the woman, the charge could range from aggravated injuries to attempted murder . The carabinieri are working to clarify the reasons for the brutal attack. The two had started dating after Secci's release from prison, some time ago the relationship went into crisis . This could be the motive.

The community of Irgoli is in shock for the episode.

"Firm condemnation" comes from the mayor Ignazio Porcu: " Such facts call into question the system of re-education in prison which should be accompanied by medical treatments to avoid the repetition of certain situations. We will try to stay close to the family of the woman who we hope will recover as soon as possible and we will take care of the two children if they need anything".
