«On my wife's part there was no fear for her life . Inside our home the cameras were always on and she was only concerned that the system was working to monitor what I did and what I took away from the house ." These are the spontaneous declarations made in the courtroom by the murderer of Ploaghe , Fulvio Baule , the 41-year-old bricklayer accused of killing his in-laws, Basilio Saladdino and Liliana Mancusa, with an axe, on 26 February 2022, in Porto Torres, ultimately reducing life of his ex-wife , Ilaria Saladdino. " He wanted to check if I had taken away the documents on some financing for the house ." Then he adds: "In reality, she had given those documents to her lawyer, while I only took away some gifts received from the children on the day of their baptism , just as she had done with the gifts received from her relatives."

This morning the accused wanted to intervene once again in the courtroom before the Court of Assizes, presided over by judge Massimo Zaniboni, to clarify what was declared by the witnesses, the lieutenant commander of the Ploaghe station, Roberto Olmeo and the marshal commander of the station of the Carabinieri, Guido Del Signore.
