More than a month after the storm that damaged sections of the railway line between Macomer and SIndia, no maintenance work has yet been carried out. The Esedra Excursions cooperative, which manages the tourist trips of the green train, in a statement highlights the serious situation that has arisen, also accusing the Region and the inaction of those responsible for intervening .

«The trip on board the Green Train - it is written in the note - is the most requested excursion during the spring and summer season. To date, however, more than a month after the storm that made the railway along the Macomer-Trasnuraghes section inaccessible, nothing is known yet. None of the competent bodies is able to give certain, clear answers, when the works will begin, if the train will be able to travel this summer ».

The cooperative has already had to cancel all reservations for June , with requests arriving from tourist agencies throughout Europe and from all over Italy. " Now we have had to cancel those of July and even August risks skipping - writes the Esedra Excursions cooperative - unfortunately it is not only us who are lost, but the entire territory, such as Marghine and Planargia".

Esedra Excursions underlines: « Those who offer Malvasia, sweets, those who offer tasting of local products lose, they lose the accommodation facilities, they lose the restaurants, they lose the bars along the various stops. Above all, I forgive the travellers , among whom there is the bitterness and disappointment of the missed trip and booked for over a year".

A dramatic situation, over which Arst appears powerless . "We are doing everything we can do - says the general manager, Carlo Poledrini -, we are moving to restore the stretch damaged by the storm, but technical times are needed".

Esedra Excursions concludes: «Once again we find ourselves in front of an absent Region, an immobile territory, the offices that offload responsibilities to each other. And all of us waiting for an answer that we do not know when it will arrive. If it comes."
