The news that arrives for Sardinia from the Gimbe Foundation report is not good news. For the week from 10 to 16 November, coronavirus positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (118) increased and there was an increase in new cases (58.0%) compared to the previous week.

The beds in the medical area, on the other hand, remain below the saturation threshold, at 2.7 per cent, like those in intensive care (4.4 per cent) occupied by Covid patients.

In the list of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants of the last week in first place is Sassari with 58 infections, followed by Oristano (41), Nuoro (36) and South Sardinia (29).

VACCINES - The Sardinians who have completed the vaccination cycle are 78.2% against the average in Italy of 76.8%. To this figure we must add a further 2.1% (national average 2.3%) with the first dose only.

The vaccination coverage rate with booster dose (i.e. the third one) is 46.9% (Italy average 53.3%), while the vaccination coverage rate with additional dose (one reinforcement after the two doses) is 100.0 % (Italian average 59.6%).
