Heavy inconvenience with unbearable temperatures for passengers on board the Gnv Azzurra, the Grandi Navi Veloci ship that left on Tuesday evening at 7:45 p.m. from the port of Genoa and landed this morning at 11:30 a.m. at the dock of the Ponente pier in Porto Torres. An interminable journey and a delay of over three hours without air conditioning. The climate on board has heated up even more with protests from passengers looking for cooler environments. Fifteen hours of crossing for the 1070 passengers, with a technical failure in the ventilation system, which forced them to spend hours and hours in the heat.
"A nightmare, an interminable journey with a flat sea and a very slow speed," says Renato Persigni, 77, originally from Turin, who for 55 years has been travelling from Genoa to Porto Torres with his Sardinian wife to reach the island and visit relatives in Oristano.
"I don't think I'll ever get on that ship again, it's 45 years old and should be scrapped. I've never had such a terrible experience in my life."
The hauliers were also in trouble: «We had the same bad experience last Monday, June 30, on the Porto Torres-Genoa crossing, without air conditioning and an interminable journey, with delays on departure and arrival».
