Flames in the night at Punta Trettu and then at Piscinas: the fire brigade rushed

Double intervention by the coal fire brigade teams for two distinct episodes that occurred several hours apart from each other.

The first request came during the night from the locality of Punta Trettu (Municipality of San Giovanni Suergiu) for a fire that affected a section near the access road and characterized by eucalyptus trees, Mediterranean scrub and a reed thicket (in an area already traveled from a fire in recent days).

But then the teams had to go this morning near Piscinas, lower Sulcis, for a fire that broke out quite close to a watercourse and which affected a thick reed bed. Some motorists gave the alarm.

The operators carried out the reclamation of the site themselves to prevent the wind from rekindling the flames.
