Fire in the municipal campsite of Villaputzu, investigation into possible arson

Fire in the municipal campsite of Villaputzu , in the Porto Corallo area. The flames broke out in the external area near the structure that housed the restaurant and only the prompt intervention of the firefighters avoided serious consequences. In the end , mostly waste that had been piled up in those parts went up in smoke .

The municipal campsite has been closed for four years now . The Municipality put it up for sale amid controversy from some of the opposition. The races, however, went deserted. Now there would be interest from a company from northern Italy.

The flames date back to April 29th. Investigations are underway to establish the possible malicious nature of the fire
